Skilled Worker visa: going rates for eligible occupation codes

Updated 5 June 2025

Find out the annual going rate for occupation codes that are eligible for the Skilled Worker visa.

The table is sorted in order of occupation code, with the smallest numbers at the top. You may be able to use your web browser to search for it on the page.

The annual salaries for these jobs are based on a 37.5-hour working week. They must be pro-rated for other working patterns, based on the weekly working hours stated by your employer.

Jobs usually need to pay at least the going rate to be eligible for a Skilled Worker visa, but can sometimes pay less.

If you work in healthcare or education

There are different salary rules if you work in some healthcare or education jobs. The ‘going rates’ for these jobs are based on the national pay scales set by the relevant independent body, for example the NHS.

View the national pay scales for healthcare jobs and eligible teaching and education leadership jobs by area of the UK.

If you qualify for the standard rate, because you got your certificate of sponsorship  after 4 April 2024, read the ‘standard rate’ column.

If you qualify for the lower rate, read the ‘lower rate’ column.

You qualify for the lower rate if you:

If you do not know your job’s occupation code, you can search for your job in the CASCOT occupation coding tool.
